Determination of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) in water
Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) test aims to determine the concentration of oxidizable and biodegradable organic compounds in water. The test most often runs for a five day period. Its widest application is in measuring waste loading of treatment plants, and in evaluating the efficiency of treatment processes. CheckLight scientific development team has developed a unique technology for determination of BOD in water in only 3-4 hours.

Principle -
The tested water sample is pre-hydrolysed with acid and exposed to the bacteria. The obtained level of luminescence reflects the concentration of utilizable organic carbon compounds in water.
